Mátyás Holló is a Hungarian percussionist based in Zürich, Switzerland where he is pursuing a degree in Master of Arts Specialized Music Performance – Orchestra at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste with Klaus Schwärzler, Raphael Christen and Benjamin Forster.
His musical journey started at his hometown’s music school where he received education both for solo and chamber music repertoire. From 2017 on he was studying at the Béla Bartók Conservatory in Budapest where he committed himself to professional career. Since 2021 he is based in Zürich at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. He visited masterclasses of renowned percussionists like Bence Major, Rainer Seegers, Nick Woud, Zoltán Rácz, Gordon Stout or Theodor Milkov and worked with formations like the Amadinda Percussion Group, Luzerner Sinfonieorchester or Zürcher Kammerorchester.
